BioMy main journal is here. This one is just for when I blather on about jewelry stuff. If I ever start selling paperweights (as opposed to just collecting), that will probably end up here as well.
Most of the jewelry I make is fairly simple and on the small-side, stone-wise. I tend to stick with faceted round and oval cabochon gems, and generally use 4mm or smaller for the former and 8x6mm or less for the latter. Of course if anyone ever asks me to make something with larger gems I will, but until that happens I'll make things which I would wear.
Not that I expect to be making any diamond jewelry in the near future, if ever, but in case anyone ever asks I do have strong opinions on diamonds. E-mail or post a comment if you want further details.
The butterfly in my default user picture actually began life as a carved frosted quartz flower. With the help of Gimp I was able to remove any parts which didn't look like a butterfly, then add in the cocoon and foliage. The user picture is a small bit of the one which is place-holding my business page.
My secondary icon is Kiki the ferret from Sluggy Freelance. Kiki and the comic strip are the basis for my LJ username. And finally, my username here is the same one I use on ebay to sell jewelry-related stuff and the occasional paperweight.
